My summer love is...PAINTING!!

I decided to not openly share my summer art goals until I was in swing and at least had a chance of succeeding halfway, haha. My summer goal is to finish the paintings I've started/sketched out. I have 5 of them all together, and I think I have a chance if I sit down at least once a day on them. Some of them are paint-overs, some are just finishing what I've started.

1. Kazarine for (70%(?) done)
2. 13 of Spades (see WIP 10% done)
3. Death of... (see WIP 90% done)
4. canvas that (s)AINT was on, will be doing a paint-over
5. A yin-yang concept

I have 2 other canvases that are blank/light sketches, but might go in different directions with them. I'm unsure as of now.

Thinking about attempting some charcoal/graphite this summer too. That used to be my thing, but paint has taken over my brain.

Life's been good. I think I'm done with my major travel for the summer, but you know me. Up and on the road at a moment's notice XD I might head out to WV and/or STL once more this summer, but who knows. The court date for the divorce went well, just waiting for paperwork.

I'm picking back up on my art again, and the last few days that I've been painting, I've felt so much more free. Even if its things I won't share, I felt like I was going to have an identity crisis as an artist if I didn't produce SOMETHING. Thankfully, most of it has been share-worthy I've been surrounding myself with artistic people as of late, which helps greatly.

I start school again in the fall, on a waitlist for Life and Object Drawing, and am enrolled in Psychology, Intro to Business, and Art Appreciation. I'm pretty excited, but also somewhat nervous about juggling work and school and finances. I'll find a way to make it work, though.

And I can't wait for Marilyn Manson's new CD to come out. The lyrics I've seen thus far are fantastic and I can't wait for them to molest my ears and my car audio system ^_~
